Our First Kit
Saved £150 to buy our first detailing kit, not much gear, but it meant everything back then
The First Job
Washing neighbours’ cars for £20 at a time. Every job’s money went straight back into getting better gear.
Learning The Craft
Started teaching ourselves machine polishing and coatings. Mostly trial and error, but every mistake taught us something.
The First Van
All the graft paid off. We finally bought our first van. For the first time, it felt like we were real detailers.

How long does PPF last?
Our film comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty for normal use when properly maintained. Every install is built for long-term performance and includes a complimentary 6-week check-up.
How much does PPF cost at JNJ Detailing?
PPF is quoted individually because vehicles and required coverage vary significantly. Prices shown on this page are guide starting prices only. Once we know your vehicle, its condition and the areas you want protected, we can provide a tailored quotation.
Will PPF ruin my paint when it is removed?
No. Quality film installed on healthy paint removes cleanly. We use pre-cut patterns and safe techniques so there are no blades on your paintwork.
Will PPF change how my car looks?
Gloss PPF is virtually invisible and can enhance depth and clarity. If you want a satin look, our Stealth film gives a matte finish while keeping the paint protected.
Is PPF better than ceramic coating? Should I have both?
They do different jobs. PPF is a physical barrier that stops chips and scratches. Ceramic coating adds slickness and easier cleaning. Many clients choose both for the best result.
What happens if a covered panel gets damaged?
We can remove and replace the film on that panel only. No repainting and no colour-match worries.
Do you remove panels or cut the film on the car?
Can you apply PPF to repainted areas?
Yes, once the paint has fully cured and passes our inspection. We will assess the panel first to ensure perfect adhesion and finish.
How do I care for PPF?
Wash with pH-neutral shampoo, soft mitts and clean microfibres. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive polishes. Light marks can self-heal with warmth. We provide simple aftercare guidance at handover.
When can I wash the car after installation?
Give the film a short curing period before its first wash. We will confirm the exact timing at handover and include it in your aftercare pack.
How long does installation take?
Typical timings match our packages: Full Front about 2 days, Track Pack about 3 days, Full Car about 5 days. Complex or bespoke work may take longer.
Does PPF yellow or peel over time?
Can you coat PPF?
Yes. We can apply a ceramic coating on top of PPF to make cleaning even easier and to help the film stay cleaner for longer.
